Case Study - Louie

Louie was referred to Radical by the Southwark leaving care team. We've placed Louie twice. Once, into a six month contract with the National Education Union where he helped with administration during the height of the pandemic - his first ever home working experience.

Ans then again into a permanent role as a Royalties Administrator with YM&U Group.

As a care experienced young person, Louie's confidence was pretty low and he lacked lacked social capital. To support him, the team helped Louie to think about what he was good at and interested in so we could understand what jobs he might enjoy. We then wrote a winning CV that clearly articulated his many natural talents as well as his work experience because before he met us, he'd worked for around two years helping to manage an office. Unfortunately, that role ended when social services moved him out of London, into independent living accommodation, making the commute to work too long and too costly.

Louie is a remarkable young man with so much talent and potential. What was missing was someone to open up opportunities for him so he could fly. Thankfully, that's what our team are especially good at!
